USA Based Breeder
We are a home-based Betta fish breeder located in Minnesota, USA.
The Betta pair we select to breed are young and healthy.
The fry are hatched in a heated, filtered and planted tank. The water in these images will appear yellowish or brown due to the tannins in the water. All featured images, with the exception of recommended products are of our current fish friends and their offspring!
Accommodations
The parents are removed from the tank, but the fry remain until they are approximately 1 month old when they are moved to a 20 and a 10 gallon tank depending on the size of the fish. At around 3 - 4 months they are "jarred" due to rowdy aggression. Some of the youngsters are less aggressive and remain together. Jarred is in parentheses because the youngsters live in either a trio tank such as the one on the right or in an isolation/breeder box.

Betta fish are curious, usually friendly with those they are familiar with and very energetic. You will find the occasional laid-back individual, and that isn't abnormal, however, if the Betta is unusually lethargic there's something that is off and needs to be addressed for your fishes health.

This one gallon divided tank has a light and an under gravel filter included. This is not recommended for grown betta fish.
